What We Believe

God
We believe in a personal God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is both righteous and just, loving and merciful; and desires that all be saved through a personal relationship with Him.
– Matthew 28:19; John 3:16

Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is completely God and completely man. He is virgin born, sinless, and risen from the dead physically. As the Son of God, He is the only Savior who forgives sin and restores us to God.
– Acts 4:12; 2:38

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit was sent by Christ to give truth and power to Christians so they may live lives pleasing to God and be faithful witnesses for Christ.
– Acts 1:8; John 14:15–17, 26

The Bible
We believe in an inspired Bible, the Word of God without error. It is the sole authority in all matters of belief and conduct.
– Proverbs 30:5–6

Creation
We believe in a literal six-day creation in which God created the entire universe. He also made man as His special creation without the aid of evolution.
– Exodus 20:11; Genesis 1:27–31

Salvation
Salvation comes by depending on Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life—not by relying on our own good record. However, true conversion will always be demonstrated by a changed life.
– Ephesians 2:8–9; Acts 26:20

The Church
There is one Church, purchased by the Son, named after the Father, directed by the Holy Spirit, and made up of all true Christians worldwide.
– Acts 20:28; Ephesians 3:13–14; 1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Hebrews 12:22–23

Church Membership
Church membership is received the moment a person is born again into God’s family. Whoever belongs to Christ automatically belongs to the Church.
– John 3:3; Acts 2:46–47

Baptism
We practice baptism of adult believers (ages 12 and up) by immersion. It symbolizes sins being washed away, and one’s death, burial, and resurrection into a new life.
– Acts 8:12; Romans 6:3–4

Faithfulness
Continuing faithfully in the call to follow Christ is the requirement of every believer. Therefore, returning to a life of sin and disobedience disqualifies one for the prize.
– 1 Corinthians 9:27; 1 John 1:6; 1 John 3:6

Divine Healing
Divine healing is part of the Good News Jesus proclaimed and is still open to believers today.
– James 5:14–15

The Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is a present reality, established at Jesus’ first coming and brought to its eternal fullness at His return.
– Luke 17:20–21; 1 Corinthians 15:22–28

The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal return of Christ, at which time He will judge those who persist in disobedience and reward those who love and serve Him.
– Acts 1:11; John 5:29; Revelation 20:11–15; 22:12
